Supporting Network Expansion in
Underserved Areas

Project Overview:

Boniswa Group supported the deployment of telecommunications infrastructure in Mmaletswai, a rural community located in the Lephalale area of Limpopo. The project was focused on improving network coverage and strengthening access to connectivity for residents, schools, local leadership, and surrounding community structures.

The project reflects Boniswa’s commitment to delivering infrastructure that supports both technical progress and meaningful community development.

The Challenge

In many rural communities, limited network infrastructure affects more than communication. It can restrict access to information, education, business opportunities, emergency contact, public services, and participation in the digital economy.

Mmaletswai required improved connectivity to support local development and help reduce the digital gap between rural and urban communities.

The Solution

Boniswa supported the rollout of telecommunications infrastructure to strengthen network access in the area. This infrastructure creates a more reliable foundation for communication and future digital inclusion.

By enabling improved coverage, the project supports everyday connectivity for residents and creates opportunities for schools, families, businesses, and community structures to engage more effectively with the wider digital economy.

Community Impact

The project has been positively received by local leadership, including Chief Moses Nku, who acknowledged the importance of improved connectivity for the area.

For the community, the infrastructure supports:

  • Better communication access

  • Improved access to information

  • Support for schools and learners

  • Stronger links to services and opportunities

  • Greater inclusion in South Africa’s connected economy

Project Outcome

The Mmaletswai Connectivity Project is more than a tower installation. It is an example of infrastructure creating access, supporting opportunity, and helping bridge the digital gap between rural and urban communities.
